Job Summary
Job Description
As a Systems Administrator at Skydance Animation, you'll be responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and security of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes managing network infrastructure, servers, and services (both cloud and on-premises), installing software and patches, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with other departments to evolve systems standards. You will also handle system backups, recovery, and 3rd-level support, automate tasks, participate in system planning, and stay updated on industry trends. The role requires strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure), scripting (PowerShell, Python, bash), and experience with high-availability systems. Experience in the 3D animation sector is a plus.

As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance and security of the company’s infrastructure services, systems, and network.
Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and managing network infrastructure.
- Installing, configuring, and managing servers and services both cloud and on-premises.
- Installing and evaluating new software releases, system upgrades and patches.
- Maintaining and monitoring system configuration to ensure data and configuration integrity.
- Operating with the objective of having a reliable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure using configuration as code methodologies.
- Collaborating across departments to evolve systems standards studio wide.
- Collaborating with the InfoSec team on vulnerability management.
- Performing system backups and recovery.
- Documenting and automating daily tasks.
- Participating in large system and subsystem planning.
- 3rd level of support functions, including problem isolation and resolution.
- Keeping up on current methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company.
- Collaborates with other team members, when necessary.
- Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead´s guidance.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT departments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting
- Experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Configuration and administration of routers, switches, and firewalls
- Understanding of cloud networking (OCI, AWS, Azure Virtual Network)
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards (Ethernet, fiber optics)
- Process automation and deployment
- Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions
- Scripting (Powershell, Python, bash)
- Ansible/Terraform
- Apache/nginx/Flask
- PostgreSQL/ MySQL
- Experience with high availability systems.
- Experience in process virtualization and deployment.
- Experience in the 3D animation sector
- Recommended certification (not required but preferred): Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
- Medium-high English level required.
- Spanish desirable.
