The Private Cloud (PVC) Engineering team at Rackspace Technology seeks a Technical Product Manager III passionate about modern web development. This role involves ensuring the stability and security of Rackspace's products and solutions through initiative and standard programming practices. The TPM will provide high-level technical support, own complex automations, and utilize creative problem-solving to address customer issues. Responsibilities include collaborating with application owners, product/engineering managers, and development teams to prioritize features, manage backlogs, track progress, and ensure customer goals are met within budget and technical constraints. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years as a Technical Product Manager in an IT environment, and expertise in all phases of the product development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and web application development.

The Private Cloud (PVC) Engineering team in the Rackspace Technology is looking for talented Technical Product Manager (TPM)who has passion for modern web development standards. 
 As a Technical Product Manager in our team, the TPM uses initiative and standard programming practices to ensure the stability and security of Rackspace’s products and solutions. Provides a high level of technical support through the ownership of complex automations that enable Rackspace to better serve our internal and external customers. Applies creative problem-solving techniques to identify the source of problems, while at the same time keeping these customers aware of every step along the way. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed. 
As a TPM in our team, you will be responsible for working with teams building cutting-edge applications that deliver innovative outcomes to our customers.

Responsibilities: 
As a Technical Product Manager your primary responsibilities include working closely with Application owners, Product and Engineering managers, Development and Engineering teams to prioritize features based on roadmap, adding them to sprints, create backlogs, drive them to completion. You will be tracking and reporting project progress on all Rackspace internal/external customer facing portals, ensuring our customer goals are met within the boundaries of budget and technical constraints.

Requirements 
Overall 8+ years of experience and minimum 5+ years strong experience as a Technical Product Manager in an Engineering or Automation Team in IT, or, related organization/environment  
Well versed with all phases of product development life cycle and TPM responsibilities linking to each phase of cycle is required 
Experience in modern Program and Project Management methodologies to tailor delivery to best suited model resulting highest success rate  
Strategic contributor to overall product strategy, roadmap and releases
Should drive executive presence, conversate with an elevated pitch and have excellent stakeholder management skills 
Technical Product experience in web application development, UI/UX, content management, end-end system design, API knowledge, application security and compliance. 
Should be experienced in writing user stories and acceptance criteria. Breaking work into smaller units that can be shipped fast to delivery 
Experienced in technical documentation, capturing detailed technical specifications, functional/non-functional requirements and build process flows 
Expert in managing technical changes via organization technology change management practices  
Own, or, facilitate product/project ceremony meetings (Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demo meetings, War-room conversations etc.)  
Experience in Project tracking and ticketing tools especially JIRA for feature/epic prioritization, backlog grooming, tracking progress, team velocity, building dashboards to monitor sprint health/release health & application statistics 
Creative approach to problem solving and good analytical skills 
Ability to quickly adapt to projects that require taking initiative and developing new expertise 
Strong communication skills(both written and verbal) 
Lead the implementation of system enhancements that will improve the capabilities, performance, and reliability of automations 
Contribute to define, design, and implement automated solutions to improve efficiency 
Document feature requests and bug reports in JIRA 
Influences functionalities that make broad contribution to our product and service offerings 
Work within team to ensure projects and goals are being communicated and to reduce duplication of efforts 
Collaborate and share knowledge with other TPMs, Architects, Engineers and Administrators

Highly Desirable skills:  
Multi-Cloud experience especially AWS, DevOps knowledge and experience, OpenStack and Open Cloud knowledge or experience is a plus. 
Working with development group that is dynamic, focus on cloud development, automations, monitoring and alerting systems, applications and products. 
Experienced in conducting A/B Testing/SIT/UAT and product testing analysis 

Experience/Education 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology field is required 
5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager in a team/organization related to IT engineering and automation environment is required 
Should have knowledge and experience on all phases of product development life cycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies 
At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute for the academic requirement 
Solid software engineering fundamentals gained through training, course work or relevant experience.
