The incumbent ensures proper alignment of the tasks and work packages executed by the engineers with the relevant project managers in the BL in cooperation with the TE and PE teams in Europe and Asia. Next, he/she ensures the team has the proper competences to execute by training & selective hiring. By this he/she ensures together with his global peers that the way-of-working and methodology for the assigned tasks is further developed. For the team he/she enables that a proper environment with access to development tools (HW & SW) is established as well as links to the relevant supporting organizations. He/she also manages actively the transition to the TEPE GMI team at the end of the NPI phase.

Position:

The Test Engineering manager reports directly to the Test Engineering Director of the AES. He/She will participate on the AES TEPE leadership team. Finally, he/she is connected to the project managers within the development organization of BL-AES that directly manage the development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Test Engineers that drives test strategy creation and test solution implementation.

  • Takes people-to-project allocation decisions in close cooperation with the project managers and other business stakeholders and grows his team according needs

  • Ensures that team competence remains aligned with technology, product and project roadmap

  • Drives Test innovation, methodology, and way of working improvements aligned with technology, product and project roadmap

  • Creates a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and empowerment

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

  • 7-10 years experience in Semiconductor

  • 3-5 years experience in management,

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment, understanding cultural difference, able to make the proper bridges in maximizing the opportunities inherently available due to the large diversity in people.

  • Experience with highly demanding customer environment

  • Knowledge of frontend and backend semiconductor processes

  • Proper understanding of the Test Engineering and Product Engineering work

  • Proper understanding of project management

  • Fluent in English

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Preferably track record of people management

  • Change driver, able to balance multiple stakeholders, strong execution driven
