As a UX Designer at Google's Developer X (DevX) team, you'll create intuitive experiences for millions of developers using Firebase and AI tools. You'll work through the entire design process, from wireframes and mockups to prototypes and specifications, ensuring products align with Firebase design systems and Google's brand. Collaboration with product management, development, and user research is key to define, test, and launch features that maximize user, developer, and business value. You'll take input from various stakeholders and participate in design reviews, effectively communicating your ideas and design rationale. The role involves crafting detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, developing interaction patterns, and defining framework components. Experience designing for developer tools and AI tooling is highly valued.

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience designing for user facing products.
- Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
- Experience designing for Developer Tools.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tooling.

Developer X (DevX) builds products for millions of developers and leads external go-to-market for Developer Pillar’s first- party/third-party products, including frameworks, languages, and platforms for AI-powered app development. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Create detailed wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications following a user-centered process to effectively communicate product goals and novel design solutions.
- Develop interaction patterns, define framework components, and apply visual styles consistent with Firebase design systems and the Google brand.
- Collaborate closely with product management, developing, and user research to define, test, and launch features that maximize end user, developer, and business value and impact.
- Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations. Participate in regular design reviews with a strong ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationales effectively.
