The VFX Producer at One Of Us is responsible for budget, schedule, and picture quality, partnering with the VFX Supervisor. Responsibilities include managing project schedules and milestones, developing delivery strategies, planning resources, managing budgets, and overseeing internal/external communication. The role involves monitoring budget spend, creating reports, leading the production team, maintaining the production database, and liaising with support departments. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to achieve creative vision is also crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience producing high-end VFX content, managing large budgets, and excellent client and crew management skills.

One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker and Tom Debenham.

From breathtaking fantasy landscapes to gripping action sequences, our portfolio spans a diverse range of genres and award winning projects such as Pinocchio, The Witcher and The Crown.

The Producer role at One of Us is budget, schedule and picture focused. In partnership with the internal VFX Supervisor they are responsible for managing the budget, schedule and delivery of high end creative content. The Senior Producer is responsible for driving a project forward by instigating creative and technical conversations whilst ensuring production best practices are adhered to. The Senior Producer is the main point of contact for our clients.


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall project schedule and delivery milestones.
  • Delivery strategy and bid methodology in partnership with the supervision team.
  • Project planning and resourcing working closely with the Head of Disciples and Crewing.
  • Produce and manage budgets and schedules that take into account the VFX work required. Internal and external communication via internal reports and production breakdowns; from script to turnover and scope changes through the life of a project.
  • Monitoring of budget and spend throughout a project.
  • Internal and external project status and finance reports; verbal and written.
  • Manage, lead and mentor the project production team.
  • Establishing and monitoring production roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintaining clear lines of communication between production and the supervision team.
  • In collaboration with the production team is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the production database.
  • Liaise with key support departments e.g. finance, systems, pipeline and facilities.
  • Artist performance, productivity, attendance and timekeeping with the project production and supervision team.
  • Builds and maintains a positive and collaborative working relationship with our clients to ensure their creative vision is met.

 

 What we are looking for:

  • Previous production experience as a VFX Producer on high end creative content.
  • Experienced in budgeting, scheduling, executing and delivering VFX projects.
  • Proven ability to manage high revenue budgets.
  • Excellent client and crew management skills.
  • An excellent understanding of the VFX production process from concept to completion.
  • Excellent familiarity with post-production pipelines, techniques, software and new technology.
  • On set experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with VFX breakdowns, bidding templates / software.
  • Financial knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated success engaging in problem solving techniques
  • First-class time/project management skills.
  • Able to analyse quickly and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Clear communicator who can provide succinct and accurate information.
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal.
  • Calm and personable under pressure.
  • The ability to work within a team towards a common goal.

 

We offer hybrid working with some days in the studio and some at home. Our weekly arrangement can be flexible.

One of Us require candidates to reside in the UK or France, depending on the location of the role, or must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. All candidates must disclose if they have an existing Right to Work in the relevant country, or would require sponsorship support, i.e. Visa.
