Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, collaborating with various departments (Creative, Capture, Production, Postproduction, IO), and supervising freelance artists. The role requires close collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and Executive Producer to ensure creative vision is met within budget and schedule. The Producer will track progress, identify and resolve production problems, and provide reports to leadership. Strong experience in VFX/Digital production, especially with special format media, is essential.

Who are we hiring?

The VFX Producer is responsible for managing and tracking a project’s Visual Effects production from bidding through final delivery.  They are required to manage all aspects of VFX production, from the initial breakdown and bidding process, planning and scheduling, tracking progress of all internal resources.   VFX producer collaborates with Creative, Capture, Production, Postproduction and IO departments.  The VFX Producer works closely with the VFX Supervisor to evaluate show and shot requirements within the scope and budget of a show and then works with Executive Producer to align Artists and resources required to execute and deliver the Creative concept.  This position reports to Director of Post Production and is responsible for delivering within the scope of the budget and schedule. 

What will you do? 

  • Predict, source, onboard and supervise freelance and temporary artists during production periods when the studio has to “ramp up” to meet production needs.   
  • Work with clients, internal client relationship leads, creative, capture, post production, technology and venue to ensure successful execution of all digital content for XO, media plane and atrium content.   
  • Create Production bids and schedules for in-house artist work across Sphere and Exo experiences  
  • Ensure Experiences and Projects stay within budget and schedule of Creative Scope.  Review and approve Change Orders working alongside stakeholders. 
  • Liaise with the Creative Team to help support creative scope within the scope of the content budget and schedule. 
  • Provide metrics and work closely with TPM to identify and track operational issues and use. 
  • Support Artists with resources (i.e. software plugins, software) to help reach project milestones and deliver completed shots. 
  • Help manage Artists times across shots and shows by working closely and seeking alignment with Executive Producer and VFX Supervisor. 
  • Support Artists with additional learning required to meet show goals and deadlines, including online courses and local conferences, when appropriate. 
  • Track in Shot Grid day-to-day progress of shots and generate timely and easy-to-read reports to leadership. 
  • Identifies potential production problems and works with leadership and VFX Supervisor so that creative decisions can be completed within budget and on schedule. 

What do you need to succeed? 

  • 5+ years’ experience in production at a large studio and/or production company with specific. experience in VFX/Digital production and the creation of special format media. 
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to build up rapport and strong relationships within teams of artists and the studio. 
  • Attention to detail and constantly looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies. 
  • Proficient user of resources management tools and Excel (Shot Grid strongly preferred). 
  • Proactivity and passionate concern for quality. 
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Pay Range
$125,000$165,000 USD
