The business is growing, and with it, our HR team! To support our continued growth, we are looking to hire a VP, People and Culture to join the team. In this role you will lead initiatives across the business spanning talent acquisition, employee experience, talent management and everything in between. We are seeking a passionate HR leader who thrives in a growth-oriented, results-driven and entrepreneurial environment. Key areas of focus will be leading programs that drive attraction and retention of top talent, fostering a best-in-class employee experience, and playing the role of coach and advisor to senior leadership. Must have:
  • Manage and lead our incredible People and Culture Team including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and People Operations
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the recruitment of top talent
  • Recommend and implement people programs, processes and tools to enable the organization to attract and retain high quality employees
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and other people programs and offerings
  • Partner with leaders across the business to support them with all growth and people-related matters
  • Play a key role in the integration of acquired companies both from a cultural and HR process perspective
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify learning and development opportunities to promote a work environment that fosters learning and growth
  • Act as a strategic business advisor to the senior leadership team on people, performance and culture matters

  • Mergers and acquisitions experience, integrating new businesses and employees culturally and functionally is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead our incredible People and Culture Team including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and People Operations
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the recruitment of top talent
  • Recommend and implement people programs, processes and tools to enable the organization to attract and retain high quality employees (KEVites)
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and other people programs and offerings
  • Partner with leaders across the business to support them with all growth and people-related matters
  • Play a key role in the integration of acquired companies both from a cultural and HR process perspective
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify learning and development opportunities to promote a work environment that fosters learning and growth
  • Act as a strategic business advisor to the senior leadership team on people, performance and culture matters

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a senior People & Culture leader in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to act as a strategic advisor, but also the ability to “roll up your sleeves” where needed
  • Experience developing and implementing culture, performance management and rewards and recognition programs
  • Ability to build trust with executive leadership team and become a strategic business partner across the organization
  • Previous experience being an integral part of the recruitment process for senior-level roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulation, and best practices in Canada and US
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the importance of the People Strategy to the achievement of the Company’s overall growth and strategic goals
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and the ups and downs of an entrepreneurial, growing business
  • Experience directly managing complex employee relations issues
  • Experience leading and managing people/culture teams with over 5 team members
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present to all levels within a company, including the executive team, and PE partners
  • Mergers and acquisitions experience, integrating new businesses and employees culturally and functionally is preferred, but not required
