This position requires experience in talent acquisition, partnership with senior stakeholders, and the ability to influence recruitment processes within a global technology business. The role emphasizes using data and market research to inform hiring decisions and involves utilizing applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter.

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity to join our People & Culture team in Toronto and are currently looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team. 

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you are an integral member of our recruiting team and will be responsible for delivering top talent and excellent service to hiring teams across multiple departments and locations, including but not limited to, customer service, account management, and operations.

You are responsible for developing, sourcing and attracting a balanced pipeline of quality candidates, and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to Australia, this role will be responsible for driving recruitment success across our North America teams. You’ll serve as the Talent Acquisition representative for North America, partnering closely with key local leaders and playing an important role in our high-performing global TA team. 
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offering, ensuring fast turn-around and great candidate experiences.
  • Establish strong relationships with hiring managers using your experience to help them shape meaningful job descriptions, job postings that speak to our target audiences and influence the processes to ensure effective and efficient recruitment.
  • Source and select a diverse, wide range of candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other direct sourcing tools.
  • Manage open positions, candidates and resources on our ATS (Greenhouse) for workflow tracking, communication and management of active and passive candidates.
  • Contribute to employer branding strategies, recruitment marketing, and representing VGW at industry events.
  • Use data and market research to stay current on hiring trends and make informed recruitment decisions.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Five or more years of experience recruiting in an in-house talent acquisition function or combined agency experience hiring for roles in (but not limited to) customer service, account management, and operations. 
  • Experience in a senior talent acquisition role where you have partnered with senior stakeholders to deliver a range of talent.
  • The autonomy, adaptability and depth of recruitment knowledge that comes from experience working in a global and complex technology business  
  • The ability to build relationships, partner with and influence key stakeholders to drive successful recruitment outcomes.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and a variety of sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience using data and insights to recommend and support hiring decisions.
