Team Introduction Our team designs and optimizes the next-generation end-to-end video system (for video production, processing, delivery, and consumption) to improve the quality of experience (QoE) for our billions of users. We are looking for strong video algorithm engineers from all areas of video understanding, video processing, video coding, video streaming, and video quality assessment etc., who have a dedication to technical excellence and a passion to build large-scale and high-performing video platforms and services. This Internship Program is for 12 weeks duration, with the Summer Internships beginning in May/June 2023, and the Fall Internships beginning in August/September 2023. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below: Summer Internship Cycle: 1. May 22, 2023 to August 11, 2023 2. May 30, 2023 to August 18, 2023 3. June 12, 2023 to September 1, 2023 Fall Internship Cycle: 1. August 14, 2023 to November 3, 2023 2. September 5, 2023 to November 24, 2023 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date). Responsibilities: --Design video analysis (ROI, SOD, content classification, artifact detection, etc.) and quality assessment algorithms; --Participate in database creation, algorithm design/optimization/development, etc; --Participate in designing strategy and solutions for E2E video quality optimization with a combination of video analysis, processing and encoding algorithms; --Apply designed algorithms for VOD / Live streaming monitoring, data analysis, objective evaluation for algorithms etc.
Qualifications
--PHD student in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent --In-depth knowledge of video analysis algorithms or subjective/objective video quality algorithms, and state-of-the-art technologies; --Proficient in one of the following: C, C++, Python; --Familiar with deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, Caffe), ML and image processing tools, including sklearn, opencv, ffmpeg, etc; --Knowledge of common video processing algorithms, such as supperresolution, denoising, tone-mapping, etc; --Great communication, eager to learn, and always passionate about turning cutting-edge technologies into real life use cases. --Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description Intern (hourly)

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $71- $71. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.

Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.

We also provide mental and emotional health benefits through our Employee Assistance Program and provide reimbursements for your mobile phone expense. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
