Job Description

As a 3D Graphics Engineer at Oxide Interactive, Inc., you will be responsible for developing and implementing graphics techniques, algorithms, and tools to create high-quality 3D graphics within Oxide's proprietary engine. This involves optimizing rendering performance, collaborating with other team members to integrate 3D assets and implement graphical features. You will work on customizing and enhancing the game engine, developing real-time rendering techniques like deferred and forward + rendering, shadows, and anti-aliasing. Furthermore, you will create and optimize shaders, contribute to content creation tools, resolve graphics-related issues, and stay updated with the latest advancements in graphics technologies. Thorough testing and documentation are also essential parts of the role.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of C++ and shader programming
  • Understanding of modern GPU architectures
  • Experience with 3D graphics pipeline
  • Familiarity with 3D math
  • Knowledge of VR technology
  • Experience with rendering techniques (deferred, forward + rendering, shadows, and anti-aliasing)

Job Details

Oxide Interactive, Inc. in Timonium, MD seek a 3D Graphics Engineer. Develop and implement graphics techniques, algorithms, libraries, and tools to produce high-quality 3D graphics using Oxide’s proprietary engine. Optimize rendering performance to maximize graphics quality and ensure smooth frame rates and efficient memory usage. Collaborate with other members of the game development team, including technical artists, designers, and gameplay engineers, to integrate 3D assets and implement graphical features. Work on customizing and enhancing the game engine to support specific graphics features and optimizations based on game specifications. Develop real-time rendering techniques including deferred, forward + rendering, shadows, and anti-aliasing. Create and optimize shaders to achieve desired visual effects while maintaining performance standards. Contribute to the development and improvement of 3D content creation tools and pipelines, streamlining the workflow for artists and designers. Identify and resolve graphics-related issues and bugs during development and testing phases. Stay updated with the latest advancements in real-time rendering techniques and graphics technologies, incorporating cutting-edge approaches where applicable. Document the graphics-related systems, processes, and best practices for reference and future use. Conduct thorough testing of graphics features to ensure they meet the required visual and performance standards.Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Game Design and Development, or a related field. Must have demonstrable knowledge of or coursework involving: C++, GPU, and shader programming; modern GPU architectures and 3D graphics pipeline; 3D math; VR technology; and rendering techniques including deferred, forward + rendering, shadows, and anti-aliasing. Salary: $97,614/year
