As a Strategic Account Manager at Trend Micro, you will generate and close new business opportunities within a designated set of accounts, acting as a "farmer" in Enterprise Network Security sales. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets by selling Trend Micro’s platform solutions, developing account strategies, and building strong customer relationships. This role involves proactively targeting high-value needs, building a robust sales pipeline, and collaborating with internal support organizations. You will also be expected to demonstrate industry expertise, build executive relationships, and develop a detailed understanding of Trend Micro's platform and processes. Must have:
  • Proven record of closing large enterprise cyber security transactions.
  • Strong sales process and lead generation skills.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity/platform sales experience.
  • Experience selling to C-level Security contacts within an enterprise.

  • Experience in collaborating with Strategic Partners and Channel.
  • History of extensive and consistent cold calling skills.

Location: The Ideal candidate must be located in the New York or Boston area.

Position Summary:

In this remote role, you will be responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities in a designated set of accounts. You are a “farmer” with a background in Enterprise Network Security sales and have a results-oriented mindset with a passion for over-achieving sales targets while exceeding customer expectations. You will be playing a key role by influencing prospects to buy Trend Micro solutions in this highly competitive security sale. To be successful in this position you will fully understand all aspects of complex selling in an enterprise technology market.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by effectively selling Trend Micro’s platform solutions to strategic customer accounts and prospects.

  • Own and drive the account strategy and collaborate with the sales ecosystem to achieve outcomes. Build strong account plans for high-value accounts and lead regular account planning meetings to keep team aligned

  • Source and develop new business opportunities by analyzing and proactively targeting high-value needs across multiple functions and business lines.

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline (4-5X quota) through disciplined CRM usage, accurate forecasting, and consistent lead and opportunity follow-through.

  • Collaborate with support organizations, including Marketing, Technical, and Channel within your accounts.

  • Demonstrate industry expertise, thought leadership, and be a trusted advisor.

  • Lead complex, multi-tiered relationships and opportunities.

  • ⁠Build strong executive relationships across multiple fields (CISO, CIO, CTO, CFO)

  • Understand the competitive landscape while differentiating Trend's value

  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Trend Micro platform, services and processes

  • Create and maintain regular forecasts as well as develop, manage and report on a sales pipeline within the territory.

  • Demonstrate sound sales processes and steps, including creating and implementing a strategic territory plan and driving and overachieving aggressive revenue targets.

  • Adhere to CRM, business systems and activity standards.

  • Travel within your assigned territory as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven record of closing large enterprise cyber security transactions ($1M+ deals).

  • Proven record of bringing new logos into an organization.

  • Strong sales process and lead generation skills

  • 5+ years' experience of cybersecurity/platform sales.

  • Experience selling to C-level Security contacts within an enterprise.

  • Successful experience in collaborating with Strategic Partners and Channel

  • History of extensive and consistent cold calling skills to develop pipeline.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills including a demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle to closure.

Trend Micro, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The OTE (On-Target Earnings) for this role is USD $280,000.00 – $330,000.00. A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
