This Account Manager role focuses on driving growth for Google's largest BeNeLux clients. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining sales opportunities, understanding client business drivers to provide strategic advice, leveraging data insights for growth, managing complex portfolios, and developing Google solutions within broader marketing strategies. The role requires strong communication (English and Dutch fluency is essential), analytical, and relationship-building skills. Internal advocacy for clients and resource allocation are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, or related fields. This position is client-facing and involves collaborating with various Google teams to deliver the best possible solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in digital advertising sales
  • Fluent in English and Dutch

  • Data analysis & insights
Good to have:
  • Strong understanding of Google's competitive landscape
  • Experience with Google Ads, GMP, or Ad Tech Solutions

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently in order to communicate in this client-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently. Dutch proficiency is not a required skill for this position
  • Strong understanding of Google's competitive landscape and how to position our solutions versus the competition.
  • Ability to strategically assess and solve client needs via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and closing.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, influencing and presentation skills.
  • Strategic and analytical sales approach and track record of building strong and lasting customer relationships.
  • Well-organized, analytical, and capable of working on multiple ad hoc requests simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with BeNeLux customers to work towards mutually beneficial objectives. Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities that impact their growth and increase investment with Google.
  • Understand what drives the customer’s business and provide strategic advice to help them grow.
  • Use the latest data and insights for ecommerce to educate customers and identify growth opportunities across markets and categories.
  • Manage a complex portfolio by understanding growth drivers, capturing opportunities for growth, and managing risks.
  • Develop Google's solutions within the context of a broader marketing strategy. Advocate for the customer internally at Google and ensure that resources are utilized to address critical opportunities.
