Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (Engage) is responsible for building and managing client relationships, understanding their business needs, and developing data-driven advertising strategies using Google products. This role requires proactive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve growth goals, presenting solutions that align with client marketing objectives. Responsibilities include developing compelling narratives, utilizing storytelling for client engagement, managing a portfolio of accounts, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate possesses experience in paid digital advertising, particularly Google Ads, and strong sales and communication skills. They will leverage their analytical abilities to assess client success and provide consultative recommendations.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising, sales, marketing, or media
  • Experience with Google Ads and digital marketing
  • Client relationship management
  • Data-driven analysis and strategic planning
  • Goal-oriented and growth-focused
Good to have:
  • Experience working with channel sales, agencies, or clients
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling
  • Experience managing a portfolio in advertising or media sales

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns, particularly in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, or clients.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context.
  • Ability to achieve goals to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business issues, marketing goals, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Plan for and achieve growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing goals.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing goals.
