What You Can Expect

  • Work with the optical component / integrated circuit design flow used in industry. 
  • Work with the design constraint and trade-off to be considered in industry.  
  • Design innovative optical device / integrated circuit / high-speed interface while considering the industry’s requirements above. 

What We're Looking For

  • Student in Ph.D degree program 
  • Solid understanding of one of the following: 
  • Semiconductor packaging/integration technology such as signal/power integrity, heterogeneous integration, mechanical and assembly process.   
  • Semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors, lasers and other waveguide devices. And familiarity or direct experience of optical simulation software tools and/or optical device modeling. 
  • Ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience. 

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

27 - 53, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
