Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer at CloudHire, you will be a lead developer responsible for developing new software products and enhancements to existing products. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other Software Engineers to deliver new functionality and iterative improvements to customer-facing products. Your responsibilities include building efficient, scalable, and reusable cloud services using Python, TypeScript, and Infrastructure as Code tools; building and maintaining RESTful APIs; integrating with various data stores, including MongoDB; participating in code reviews; focusing on knowledge sharing; identifying and resolving scalability and performance issues; and focusing on application performance and monitoring. You will report to clients and oversee new product development.

5+ years Backend development experience (Python, TypeScript)

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to focus on developing and maintaining our user platform's backend systems.

Requirements

Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers and other Software Engineers to deliver new functionality and iterative improvements to customer-facing products.
Build efficient, scalable and reusable cloud services using Python, TypeScript, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with various data stores, including MongoDB.
Participate in code reviews with other engineers.
Focus on knowledge sharing with other engineers.
Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues.
Focus on application performance and monitoring.

Salary Budget - Upto 35 LPA

Essential Criteria:

5+ years of professional experience in Backend development, with a focus on Python and TypeScript.Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Experience with MongoDB.
Experience with Serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda
Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly CloudFormation.
High attention to detail, flexible ,and able to work concurrently on multiple projects.
Ability to troubleshoot, research, and work through complex problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Desired Criteria:

Experience in working with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling – we leverage Amazon Web Services, GitHub Actions, and AWS
Cloud Formation extensively.
Experience with agile methodologies.
4-5 hours of overlap as per US time zone.
