The Brand Manager will lead the TUMS and Nexium brands in a secondment role, managing the brand strategy and daily operations. Responsibilities include developing and refining the brand's strategic direction, leading market activation planning, managing the Profit & Loss (P&L), managing brand equity, overseeing agency and cross-functional relationships, executing programs and plans, and collaborating with the sales team. The role requires strong marketing experience, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills to achieve short-term and long-term brand sales and profit objectives.

Need more heart, less burn? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand Manager to lead the TUMS and Nexium brands in a secondment role. For over 90 years, TUMS has been an iconic consumer healthcare staple, while Nexium is an emerging, premium brand. The successful candidate will have proven marketing experience, strategic thinking and analytical skills, is an excellent communicator, and have some fire in the belly (not heartburn!) to build these brands.

Job Purpose:

This 12-month contract role (with potential to extend) reports to a Marketing Portfolio Lead and will be responsible for the strategic oversight and daily management of the TUMS and Nexium business. As the Brand Manager, you will manage, lead, and be responsible for effectively deploying brand strategy. You will also provide execution leadership across all marketing areas to achieve short-term and long-term brand sales and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Autonomously develop, adapt, and refine strategic direction for the brand, grounded in consumer and customer insights
  • Lead the development of annual market activation planning focused on 3-year growth drivers, demonstrating strong leadership of brand-centric cross-functional teams
  • Accountable for the delivery of annual brand Profit & Loss (P&L), including sales and profit results, and actively manage budget items
  • Manage brand equity through successful deployment and localization of global toolkits
  • Manage agency and cross-functional relationships at both local and global levels to deliver breakthrough results, ensuring that the region’s needs are addressed within the global matrix
  • Drive superior execution of programs and plans to bring the brand strategies to life, including media, creative development, and digital programs
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive strong customer engagement and in-store support
  • Drive accountability, tracking results on key brand programs, recommending course correction as necessary based on performance versus Key Performance Indicators

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of brand management experience in CPG
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate learnings into clear, concise, and effective comms
  • Experience delivering insights-based strategic choices and translating them to brand levers (consumer communications, media planning, PR activations, etc.)
  • Experience in leading cross-functional, highly collaborative and regional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
