The Chief of Staff will report to the Vice President of EMEA Named Accounts, working closely with the leadership team to develop, lead and implement key initiatives for Autodesk’s largest and most strategic customers in EMEA. Responsibilities include driving organizational goals with long-term planning and vision, setting strategic priorities, ensuring effective resource allocation, and leading the organization towards its mission. This role involves constructively challenging leadership, promoting accountability and continuous improvement, and exercising strategic decision-making by synthesizing data and providing actionable recommendations. The Chief of Staff will act as the voice of the organization in cross-functional discussions and track project progress. A commitment to fostering innovation, comfort with ambiguity, and strong leadership and influencing skills are essential. The role requires developing internal and external partnerships and leading change management initiatives.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic operational roles
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Equivalent Experience
  • Ability to program manage across complex operations
  • Critical thinking skills to break down problems and use data for insights
  • Experience with meeting design and facilitation
  • Experience operating in a global, cross-functional environment

Position Overview

The Chief of Staff will report to the Vice President of EMEA Named Accounts, working closely with the leadership team to develop, lead and implement key initiatives. This team is responsible for Autodesk’s largest and most strategic customers in EMEA. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies, ensuring alignment across all of the leadership team.


Responsibilities

  • Own and drive strategy organizational goals with long-term planning and vision. This entails setting and communicating clear strategic priorities,ensuring effective resource allocation, and driving the organization towards achieving its mission and objectives. Quickly understand and simplify problems, working across teams to identify solutions and resolve them efficiently
  • Challenge leadership constructively, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The Chief of Staff must possess the courageand diplomacy to question prevailing assumptions, offer alternative perspectives, and foster an environment where diverse viewpoints are valued.
  • Exercise strategic decision-making, ensuring that the leadership team is well-informed and prepared to navigate complex challenges. This includes synthesizing data and insights to provide actionable recommendations and identifying potential risks and opportunities that may impact theorganization's strategic direction.
  • Be the voice of the organization in cross-functional discussions, advocating on behalf of the team to ensure successful communication andimplementation of critical organizational and operational decisions
  • Keeping track of the progress of various initiatives and projects, ensuring that they are on track and meeting their objectives. This includes providing regular updates to the VP and leadership team, and making any necessary adjustments to keep things moving forward.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to experiment, learn, and adapt. You should champion initiatives that enhance organizational agility and responsiveness to emerging trends and market dynamics.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, a can-do attitude and attention to operational details, including ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment as dutiesevolve.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships (internal and external) at all levels of the organization, exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills, anddesign, implement, and lead change management initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of shown experience in strategic operational roles
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Equivalent Experience (MBA, is a plus)
  • Ability to program manage across complex operations
  • Critical thinking skills and able to take sizable problems and break them into small meaningful pieces as well as being able to utilize data to deriveinsights from metrics
  • Experience with meeting design and facilitation skills
  • Experience operating in a global, cross-functional environment
