Job Description
As a communications consultant, you will be executing the communications strategy and engaging with stakeholders before and during the WRI India's flagship event— Connect Karo 2025, scheduled for September 2-3, 2025. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and outreach for the institute in support of WRI India’s leadership, program teams, and centers. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment, and meeting strict deadlines. The position is a 2-month term hire starting July 5th. The candidate will be working in the Core Communications Team located in Delhi. Salary will depend on your skills and experience.
Must have:
- Master's degree in communications or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in communications.
Good to have:
- Experience working with journalism and public relations.
- Experience working with think tanks and climate change organizations.

About Communications Team
The WRI India Core Communications team, based in New Delhi and Mumbai, oversees the strategy and outreach for the institute in support of WRI India’s leadership, program teams, and centers. Communication is crucial to WRI India’s success in achieving rapid, systemic changes.
About the role
As a communications consultant, WRI India’s flagship event— Connect Karo 2025, scheduled for September 2-3, 2025. You will be tasked with executing the communications strategy and engaging with stakeholders before and during the event.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in communications or a relevant field with minimum 10 years' experience
- Candidates with experience in working with journalism and public relations will be preferred
- Candidates experienced in working with think tanks and organizations specializing in climate change will be preferred

- Strong communication skills, including written and oral communications.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple team members.
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Salary and Benefits:
