The Content Specialist, YouTube Trust and Safety role in Hyderabad, India, involves reviewing graphic, controversial, and potentially offensive video content to ensure compliance with YouTube's Community Guidelines. Responsibilities include managing escalations of questionable content globally, utilizing various tools and communication methods to ensure proper issue triage and stakeholder involvement. This role also contributes to testing new systems and processes for managing escalations, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and providing input on future strategies. The successful candidate will enforce YouTube's content policies, ensuring high-quality policy enforcement and clear communication. A key aspect is collaborating with the Hyderabad Content Specialist team within the Trust and Safety organization.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in content review/assessment
- Data analysis and spreadsheet software skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration
Good to have:
- Experience in content moderation or Trust & Safety
- Experience with international policy and issues
- Business judgment and time management skills

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in problem solving, review or assessment with digital content.
- Experience with data analysis and spreadsheet software.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in content moderation, Trust and Safety, or working with news or policy in international issues (e.g., freedom of expression, online controversial content, cyber crime, etc.).
- Experience in business judgment with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
About the job
In this role, you will deliver performance goals for sensitive and timely escalations of potentially questionable content. You will manage the response to these escalations globally and use a variety of tools, communications, and facilitation methods to ensure issues are triaged and the right stakeholders are involved in resolution. You will also help test new processes, systems, and infrastructure to manage escalations, while also contributing input into where we put our efforts next. You will dig into the data around incidents and search for trends, impact, and possible improvements. - Review graphic/violation and controversial video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
- Enforce YouTube’s content policies and ensure high quality policy enforcement, as part of the Hyderabad Content Specialist team within the Trust and Safety organization.
- Manage escalations in the content policy space while ensuring quality enforcement and clear written communication and policy analysis.
