Dashtoon is a seed funded startup backed by marquee investors, and is on a mission to reinvent comics creation and consumption, using generative AI technology. We follow the standard webtoon creation process where we create storyboards from scripts , but we use our in-house generative AI based tool to help in the colouring process. This helps our artists convert storyboards to final comics in ~1 day.

About the role

This role is for writers with a passion for writing compelling screenplays & dialogues for comics that will attract and engage our target audience. You should have experience and a portfolio that showcases creativity and accomplishments in screenplay and dialog writing.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ideating and writing screenplays for comic strips
• Crafting suitable dialogues which are tailored for US based readers.
• Proof reading and editing the final output to ensure all content adheres to the platform's guidelines and quality standards

Mandatory Skills

• A strong portfolio showcasing your screenplay writing skills
• Prior experience in writing English screenplays
• Talent for crafting compelling narratives and dialogues
• Strong English & Grammar skills
• Attention to detail
• Avid consumer of English language content
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
