Senior Writer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Senior Writer for a Fortune 500 financial services client. Team culture is based on open communication, accountability, and collaboration.

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the marketing team to create original content by partnering with stakeholders to produce social media, web and other deliverables.

This is a 12 – month contract + possible extension. The team is located in downtown Los Angeles, CA, and the role is onsite with the team on Tues/Wed/Thurs. Starting in September, its Monday - Thursday on-site. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.

Senior Writer  Responsibilities:

• Conducts thorough research using statistical data, product information, audience insights, and online resources, including research libraries.
• May interview senior business leaders and investment professionals to inform writing.
• Produces a variety of communications, such as marketing materials, market and portfolio reports, articles, and topical pieces for diverse audiences.
• Ensures all content supports business objectives, effectively communicates the intended message, and adheres to brand, style, and legal guidelines.
• Adapts content for various channels using content management tools to develop individualized elements and optimize for search engines.
• May synthesize diverse input and provide rationale for content decisions to senior team members.

Senior Writer  Requirements: 

• 2-3 years of financial writing experience within a creative corporate setting.
• Finance professional with a background in communications or financial writing.
• Digitally adept candidate with strong knowledge of social media, SEO, and content marketing.
• Proven ability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear and concise writing
• Communicates clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels, including diverse teams and senior leadership. Possesses excellent grammar, syntax, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
• Collaborates effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative to work independently, proactively contributing to departmental objectives. Exhibits leadership potential and fosters positive business relationships across the organization
• Manages complex tasks with meticulous attention to detail, strong process and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
• Exercises sound judgment to resolve moderately complex issues.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various content channels.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of financial and investment principles.
