As a Data Analytics Manager at Ubisoft, you'll lead the data analytics function, providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance business decision-making for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Key responsibilities include leading and developing the data analytics team, driving data-driven growth by analyzing player behavior and market trends, influencing strategic decisions across acquisition, monetization, and player engagement, developing and defining KPIs, leading experimentation and A/B testing, and enhancing data literacy. You'll collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams (Executive Leadership, Product Managers, Marketing, Finance, and Operations), build dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI, and leverage SQL and Python/R for data analysis. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, along with experience in the video game industry or similar large-scale digital products.

As a Data Analytics Manager, your main mission is to lead the data analytics function, providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations that will enhance business decision-making and drive operational excellence. 

You will play a pivotal role in driving growth and enhancing the player experience for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. By leveraging data and insights, you will shape strategic decisions across acquisition, monetization, and player engagement. Your expertise in analytics, experimentation, and forecasting will empower project and cross-functional teams to optimize business performance and deliver exceptional player experiences 

You will be interacting with various stakeholders (Executive Leadership, Product Managers, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) who are interested in data analytics, gathering and understanding their needs, and using a sophisticated palette of tools to extract and report the findings. 

Your main mission 

  • Lead & Develop the Data Analytics team 
  • Drive Data-Driven Growth: Analyze player behavior, market trends, and business performance to identify opportunities that improve acquisition, retention, and monetization. 
  • Influence Strategic Decisions: Provide actionable insights and recommendations that shape game features, live operations, and commercial strategies. 
  • Develop and Define KPIs: Establish clear, measurable “North Star” metrics to monitor product health and success. 
  • Lead Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design and analyze experiments to evaluate new features, content, and business opportunities. 
  • Enhance Data Literacy: Elevate the team's analytical capabilities by introducing cutting-edge models, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between data science, marketing, monetization, and finance teams to ensure alignment on insights and priorities. 
  • Performance Reporting & Forecasting: Build dashboards, reports, and predictive models to track key performance metrics and anticipate future trends. 
  • Lead the data analytics team in using SQL to interrogate large databases and create scripts to obtain results that can answer complex business questions. 
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced Tableau & Power BI dashboards. 
  • Architect and build robust ETLs to support the automation of Tableau & Power BI reports. 
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns by monitoring available metrics and dashboards. 
  • Convey the results of these analyses via different reporting tools for senior leadership. 
  • Analyze the causality relation between marketing campaigns, customer acquisition, retention, and monetization. 
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure new events are implemented correctly and are reliable for analysis. 

Qualifications

The professional value you bring: 

  • Proven Analytical Expertise: Experience managing complex analytical projects, from concept to execution, ideally in live video games or other large-scale digital products. 
  • Strong Technical Skills: Highly proficient in SQL and experienced in Python or R for numerical analysis, advanced proficiency in Tableau software & Power BI 
  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including data science, marketing, monetization, and finance. 
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and influence key business decisions through data-driven insights. 
  • Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Strong business analysis knowledge. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. 
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical tools for analyzing datasets. 
  • Technical expertise regarding data models and data mining. 
  • Skills in product strategy and road mapping, game economy design and optimization, user acquisition and retention strategies, data analysis and A/B testing, agile methodologies, cross-functional team leadership, monetization strategies for live service and F2P games.
