Who are we hiring?  

We are seeking an experienced, business-oriented technologist to lead and advance strategic AI and machine learning initiatives across Sphere Studios. In this role, you will collaborate with key partners and internal stakeholders to develop and integrate tailored generative AI solutions that drive significant business outcomes. This position will focus on enhancing business processes and operations through cutting-edge AI technologies, with an emphasis on scalability, repeatability, and measurable impact.   

What will you do?  

  • Lead the development and execution of transformational AI strategies, ensuring alignment with Sphere’s overall business objectives.   
  • Partner with business leaders and technical teams to identify opportunities for using generative AI and machine learning to solve complex business challenges.   
  • Lead the strategic direction and delivery of complex, large-scale generative AI projects, from inception through to implementation and scaling.   
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to drive transformational AI initiatives, facilitating integration and adoption of generative AI technologies throughout the organization.   
  • Oversee the integration of machine learning models into both new and existing applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and leveraging the most advanced technologies available.   
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic external partners, including cloud providers, AI hardware manufacturers, and other technology leaders to drive commercial collaborations.   
  • Prepare and present information for a diverse and executive-level audience, ensuring clear and effective communication of transformational AI projects and outcomes.   
  • Ensure successful tech transfer and integration between development partners and studio stakeholders, including documentation, technical integration and user training  
  • Ensure the delivery of AI and ML projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting high-performance standards.   
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and evaluate the performance of AI initiatives, continuously improve outcomes and optimize workflows.   

What do you need to succeed?  

  •  At least 10+ years of experience in M&E innovation or emerging technology, with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives.  
  • Proven experience in integrating AI technologies into production-level systems and applications.   
  • Deep knowledge of generative AI, machine learning models, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).   
  • Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience with AI accelerators and distributed computing platforms.   
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional AI projects and initiatives, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.   
  • Experience with AI in creative or entertainment industries, aligning AI capabilities with production needs and broader business objectives.   
  • Strong experience in managing large, complex innovation and emerging technology projects  
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent presentation and writing skills.   
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in emerging and advanced technologies.   
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., cloud providers, academic institutions, startups).   
  • Experience with partner engagement and managing relationships that drive product and business outcomes.   

Special Requirements: 

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Pay Range
$174,000$250,000 USD
