The Documentation Associate is responsible for document control of all projects including drawings, records, specifications, and other official documents. This position supports the Utility Mapping department plus the Engineering and Programs division as a whole. This role is essential in the accurate and timely documentation of projects from initiation to design, bid & award, construction, and closeout!

This role reports to the Utility Mapping Service Manager of Reedy Creek Energy Services.

This opportunity will be full time on-site role in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate, curate, and catalog 750,000+ records currently stored in multiple physical and digital locations.

  • Navigate various record sources and databases in a highly organized fashion.

  • Be the liaison between records and internal record requestors.

  • Process RCES general electronic service requests, and email inquiries by working in collaboration with other members of RCES.

  • Provide coverage and backup to the Utility Locate Processor position.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ years of experience working in an office environment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read a Map

  • Able to multitask while being highly organized and meticulous

  • Excellent time-management skills

  • Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of applicable experience in Engineering, Construction, or utility operations

  • 2+ years of experience in archives/special collections

  • Proven project document control experience (record management, metadata as well as descriptive standards)

  • Experience with Maximo or SAP

  • Records Information Management (RIM) experience

  • Process development and improvement skills

  • Strong attention to detail, research skills, information gathering, and compiling of records

Education

  • High School Diploma is required.

  • Associate’s degree in applicable technical curriculum (Data Management, Educational Media, and/or Library Science) is preferred.
