The Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Transformation Department is responsible for managing the P&L for the total company, partnering with the Corporate teams on budget management and transforming the Finance function.

This position currently supports the Executive Vice President, Corporate FP&A, Finance Transformation.

You would be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leader(s) you support. Our team serves as liaison between the Corporate FP&A/ Finance Transformation and our senior management team. It goes without saying that there will be expense reports, travel planning, hundreds of phone messages and endless calendar jockeying, but this job is very much about people. The relationship you form with the executive(s) you support is absolutely critical, because that’s what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executive’s business -- and business needs -- inside and out, you’ll also need deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of Corporate and of related departments across the Disney enterprise. As the “face” of your executive(s) within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of the office, and as such, are a key component to its success. Every day as an Executive Support Professional is different! On any given day you might:

  • Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for FP&A executives

  • Handle and prioritize incoming emails and phone calls, as appropriate

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner

  • Manage calendars and scheduling of meetings with Disney senior leadership

  • Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams – your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of your job;

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel

  • Manage FP&A department invoices and ensure that they are uploaded, processed and approved in a timely manner

  • Oversee daily management of the physical office space, including ordering office supplies, catering and other department needs

  • Assist in forecasting and budget needs

  • Other ad-hoc projects and requests, as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an administrative assistant or in a relevant administrative role, supporting leaders within corporate environments or equivalent skills/experience

  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills

  • Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business;

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables;

  • Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environment

  • “EQ” skills to build bridges, forge alliances and encourage people to want to work with you;

  • Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information;

  • Some flexibility in your schedule – we value work/life balance, but in a pinch, a bit more time is needed;

  • Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail; and

  • A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you also had these skills:

  • Experience at The Walt Disney Company

  • Experience working in a large public corporation; and

  • Experience working with the offices of the senior-level management team

Education

  • High school degree and/or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $97,580 to $126,280 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
