Senior Accountant - Services Business

The Senior Accountant will be a business partner to the Services Finance team to ensure each project’s financial performance adheres to US GAAP standards by reviewing the revenue calculation, variable considerations, and costs. This role will also ensure that balance sheet accounts are stated completely and accurately and identify areas for improvement or potential risks. This role reports to the Regional Controller. Key Responsibilities: Monthly Close Support: Prepare and review revenue recognition files to ensure accuracy and compliance during the month-end closing process. Accounting Guidance: Provide timely accounting, reporting, and system guidance to support the Services business through operational changes and strategic projects. Warranty Analysis: Calculate and maintain the monthly Assurance Warranty analysis, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to accounting standards. Project Cost Accounting: Collaborate with the Services Finance team to ensure proper accounting for project costs, facilitating effective budgeting and forecasting. Transaction Recording: Ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions in the ERP system, promoting adherence to best practices and accounting standards. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and oversee related general accounting processes and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. SOX Compliance: Ensure SOX controls are executed timely and accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
