Job Description

Tesla seeks a Field Service Technician in Oslo to maintain its Energy Storage and Supercharger network. Responsibilities include on-site installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of energy storage and supercharging equipment in Oslo and potentially abroad. Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (remotely and on-site), and acting as the primary contact for contractors are key. Collaboration with engineering teams to address recurring issues and proactive planning of technical activities are also required. The ideal candidate possesses electrical engineering experience (low and medium voltage, high voltage a plus), a passion for renewable energy, excellent communication skills, and fluency in Norwegian and English. An EU passport or work permit is mandatory.

What to Expect

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure both our Renewable Energy Storage products and our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Norway. What You’ll Do

Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Energy storage and Supercharging network in Oslo and abroad when needed
Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities

What You’ll Bring

Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
A passion for renewable energy
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
Flexible towards travelling
Fluency in Norwegian and a good command of English
An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
