What You'll Do
Work from the Pune office on a hybrid model
Reporting to: Manager, Implementation Services.
Responsibilities
- You will manage a diverse portfolio of over 150 customers throughout the implementation process of Avalara's tax compliance automation solutions.
- You will guide customers in strategizing the implementation of Avalara's tax automation suite to align with their business operations and industry standards.
- You will monitor and document important milestones, deadlines, potential risks, and customer interactions associated with implementations.
- You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project management activities.
- You will also provide comprehensive support to customers by addressing inquiries, tracking issues, and ensuring the resolution or escalation of issues following company protocols.
- Deliver assistance to end-users during the onboarding phase.
- Maintain accurate records in internal implementation tracking systems for transparent cross-departmental visibility and reporting.
- Follow established implementation standards and procedures.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Manage a portfolio of ~150+ customers as they implement Avalara's tax compliance automation products
- Assist customers in planning their implementation of Avalara's tax automation suite to support their business processes and industry best practices
- Track key aspects of customer implementations, including key tasks, target dates, forecast dates, risk factors and customer interactions
- Engage internal and external business partners as part of the project management process
- Support customers' success by answering application questions, tracking issues, monitoring changes and resolving or escalating problems according to company guidelines
- Provide training and end-user support during customer onboarding
- Update internal implementation tracking systems in a timely and accurate manner for cross-departmental visibility and reporting
- Follow established implementation standards and operating procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing customer relationships in a dynamic service environment, preferably with two or more years of experience in software implementation, within the B2B realm.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and deliver tangible outcomes.
- Results-oriented mindset with exceptional time management and interpersonal skills.
- Assess customer needs promptly, and tailor instructions and training accordingly.
- Passionate about ensuring customer success and dedicated to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Preferably comfortable working night shifts.
- Familiarity with Sales and Use Tax concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Graduate/Post-Graduate
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Jira, Gainsight, Troubleshooting & Ticketing Tools
- Experience installing and configuring multiple ERPs, such as WooCommerce, Sage, Dynamics, Salesforce, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
- Prior exposure to tax automation software implementation or experience in tax-related roles.
