Our Financial Director will ensure financial compliance across both the EU and Moldova while driving financial strategy, managing banking relationships, and supporting expansion.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Director to join our leadership team and report directly to the CEO. The Financial Director can be based in either Estonia or Moldova, providing oversight of financial operations across multiple geographies.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in EU financial standards, able to navigate the regulatory environments in both Estonia and Moldova, and have experience managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to support rapid growth, ensuring compliance across Estonia, Moldova, and the wider EU.

Financial Operations: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for both Estonia and Moldova operations. Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Represent the company during annual audits and be responsible for timely preparation of financial statements.

Banking Relationships: Maintain and enhance relationships with banking institutions, payment providers, and financial partners across multiple jurisdictions to support the company’s operational and strategic needs.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations in Estonia, Moldova, and the EU, including tax laws and other relevant standards. Develop strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Management reporting: Develop and implement the process for preparation of management reports for the CEO and the company’s shareholders in accordance with their needs.

Investor Relations: Assist in investor relations, including preparing financial reports, presentations, and supporting materials to communicate the company’s financial performance to stakeholders.

Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management for both the headquarters and subsidiary, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs and growth objectives.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and adherence to financial best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as Financial Director or senior finance executive in a fast-growing company, ideally within the gaming, technology, or digital sectors.
- Deep understanding of EU financial and accounting regulations, Estonian tax laws and compliance standards. Familiarity with Moldovan financial regulations is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, and payment providers across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights.
- Experience in capital raising, and supporting investor relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) are a plus.
