  • Proficiency in one or more frontend framework (HTML5 / Angular / React).

You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end development of key cloud platform and solutions which includes technical design, integration requirements, delivery and lifecycle management.

You are a specialist across and/or within a technology domain and viewed as the go-to person in the business to provide technical support in the development and delivery of cloud infrastructure platforms and solutions.

Focus of the Role
Full Stack Developer will participate in and/or be responsible for technical analysis of functional designs, preparation of technical designs, technical build & implementation of full stack applications, configuration and scripting, quality & code reviews, facilitating testing, resolution of defects identified during test, managing relationships between support and development team, mentoring and training.

What You’ll Do

Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.

This role is key to the success of the Customer Platforms function at Telstra and will be responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Ability to review vendor designs and recommended solutions based on industry best practises
  • Understand overall business operations and develops innovative solutions to help improve productivity
  • Ability to understand and design provisioning solutions at Telstra and how CRM interacts with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills needed to support enterprise high availability full stack applications. Reduce ageing tickets and provide proactive problem management.
  • Coordinate with technical resource within and outside of Customer Platforms team.
  • Monitor process of software configuration/development/testing to assure quality deliverable.
  • Ensure standards of QA are being met
  • Review deliverables to verify that they meet Telstra defined metrics; Implement and enforce high standards for quality deliverables
  • Analyses performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with full stack application.
  • Assists leadership with development and management of new application capabilities to improve productivity
  • Provide training and educate other team members around core capabilities and helps them deliver high quality solutions and deliverables/documentation
  • Self-Motivator to perform Design / Develop user requirements, test and deploy the changes into production

About You

Degree level IT qualifications in Software or Systems Engineering.

3-7 years’ experience in web application implementation, consulting or technical lead / team lead role.

  • Design and develop software (Java SE & EE, NodeJs, AWS Lambda services).
  • Experienced in Cloud and Data application such as React.JS, AWS.
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Spring boot / NodeJS / Python).
  • Proficiency in one or more frontend framework (HTML5 / Angular / React).
  • Design and implementation of single and multi-tier application architecture.
  • Development and deployment and scaling of containerised applications with Docker.
  • A good understanding of the architectural principals of web-based platforms including SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers.
  • Understanding of all cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures.
  • A good understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL environments and an understanding of integration considerations such as process orchestration, customer data integration and master data management.
  • A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications.
  • Utilise DevOps practices and tools like Docker and Kubernetes to streamline application deployment and management.
  • Integrate security measures and performance optimizations to enhance application robustness and user experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
