Job Description

As an HR Generalist, you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, both administrative and strategic. You will support the development and execution of employee procedures and policies, and provide guidance for business operations. Responsibilities include revising HR policies, responding to inquiries, collaborating on EMEA HR projects, advising on corrective actions, managing local onboarding/offboarding, staying updated on labor laws, facilitating compliance tasks, and acting as a trusted advisor for employees. This role is based out of Frankfurt.
Must have:
  • Minimum of 3 years in HR capacity (employee relations, compliance, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English (B2) and German (C1)
  • Good knowledge of social legislation, and current HR and legal environments
  • Confident in handling MS Office tools
  • Bachelor's or master's degree
Good to have:
  • Experience supporting a sales and customer service organization is preferred
  • Previous exposure to compensation and benefits relevant to the local market
  • Experience with Workday is desired

About the role
As an HR Generalist, reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager EMEA, you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, both administrative and strategic and will support with developing and executing employee procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.    
 
What you will be doing
  • Revising and recommending human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices with the local German regulations
  • Responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and people processes
  • Working closely with EMEA HR Team on all EMEA joint HR projects
  • Advising and assisting on corrective action matters and providing administrative support to the management staff and team members
  • Managing local onboarding and offboarding in compliance with German requirements and alignment with global processes
  • Keeping up to date on social and labour law, as well as any HR legal issues
  • Playing an active role in facilitating and supporting compliance-related tasks
  • Working collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for employees in case of work-related topics
  • Responsible for ensuring personal/professional information is accurate and maintained
  • Providing first-line benefits support to employees and managing all aspects of leave administration
  • This is a hybrid role based out of Frankfurt
Who you are and what you bring
  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years in a human resources capacity: employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation, admin
  • Experience supporting a sales and customer service organization is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English (B2) and German (C1)
  • Good knowledge of social legislation, and current HR and legal environments
  • Enthusiastic and engaging, highly effective communicator
  • A confident professional who enjoys making a positive impact on an organization
  • Previous exposure to compensation and benefits relevant to the local market (pensions, health insurance, etc.)
  • Experience with Workday is desired
  • Confident in handling MS Office tools 
  • Detail-oriented, independent and a team player
