This Industry Manager role at Google focuses on building and maintaining relationships with high-level clients in the Food and Beverage sector. Responsibilities include developing long-term strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, achieving growth goals through strategic product presentations, and providing data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills (fluent in French), experience in consultative sales, and a deep understanding of the FMCG industry and digital marketing (ideally with Google Ads experience). This role requires managing client relationships at the executive level and driving client success by leveraging Google's advertising solutions to meet marketing objectives. The position involves analyzing client needs, identifying growth opportunities, and presenting tailored solutions to meet marketing objectives. The candidate must be adept at building relationships with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
Must have:
  • 8 years of experience in advertising/sales/business development (or 6 years with advanced degree)
  • 6 years managing executive-level customer/agency/partner relationships
  • Fluent French communication
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Data analysis and presentation skills
Good to have:
  • 4 years in Food/FMCG
  • Experience in complex organizations
  • Leadership experience
  • Digital marketing expertise (Google Ads)
  • Experience in a leadership role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, or business development, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 6 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • Ability to communicate in French fluently to interact with local stakeholders in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience working in the Food/Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry or product area.
  • 2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in digital marketing with knowledge of Google advertising products, e.g., YouTube and Search.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and senior partner stakeholders. Develop an understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and deliver client success.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop analyses and recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify opportunities with recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet marketing objectives.
