International Growth Consultant, Large Customer Sales

Job Description

As an International Growth Consultant, you'll be responsible for identifying high-impact international growth opportunities for Google's large customers. You'll need to understand their goals, act as a digital consultant, and develop and execute projects around international growth. You'll also need to build thorough knowledge of advertising on Google, Google Display Network, and YouTube. This role is based in Shanghai or Beijing, China.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in advertising sales, consulting, media, or working with advertising agencies
  • Experience in cross-border or exporting business
  • Experience in an analytical capacity
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
Good to have:
  • Experience in a sales or client-engagement capacity
  • Experience developing grounded, insight-driven narratives
  • Experience working overseas or knowledge of international markets
  • Knowledge of digital advertising
  • Ability to take initiative and work well in ambiguity
  • Entrepreneurial and goal-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication, analytical, project management, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to interact with local clients and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a sales or client-engagement capacity.
  • Experience developing grounded, insight-driven narratives, applied to mobile, digital, and offline mediums, into actionable business opportunities.
  • Experience working overseas or knowledge of one or more international markets/regions.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising.
  • Ability to take initiative and work well in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, project management, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills, and ability to tell stories with data.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-impact international growth opportunities based on existing frameworks and tools, and develop new ideas and approaches to drive international growth and scale for an assigned portfolio.
  • Understand customers' goals, and be a digital consultant to businesses in Greater China looking for international opportunities
  • Understand the market landscape, and develop and execute projects around international growth, impacting clients' understanding of global markets.
  • Contribute to growing international growth acumen and resources within Google, and support other members in your network by sharing knowledge about your assigned market.
  • Build thorough knowledge related to advertising on Google, Google Display Network, and YouTube.
