ABOUT THE POSITION

A Technical Artist is a talented person, either an artist or a programmer that touches both disciplines, operate on the edge between tech and art, passionate about the game creation process, including materials/shaders, procedural content generation, writing tools for artists, designers and programmers — working in Unreal Engine.

Responsibilities

  • Help artists with technical parts of tasks, help programmers with artistic vision.

  • Create materials/shaders with optimization.

  • Design, implement, test and debug tools, write technical documentation.

  • Research, analyse and report risks/problems/solution required by project and future developments.

  • Profiling code to optimize software components of a game.

  • Research cutting-edge algorithms and techniques.

  • Create leading edge reusable technologies, both systems and engines if required.

  • Work with artists and programmers and report to a line manager

  • Follow Agile/SCRUM processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in creation of art assets

  • Experienced in Python language.

  • Experienced in Unreal Engine 4 or Unreal Engine 5.

  • Experience in Houdini is a plus.

  • Good communication skills in English and able to work in English-speaking working environment.

  • Good problem-solving resilience.

  • An innovative force in the profession.

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science or software engineering education

  • Passionate about games, and game development.
