The Lead UX Researcher at Bally's will provide user and data-driven research and design recommendations to enhance player experiences. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in user research, UX/UI design, user testing platforms (like UserTesting.com), Google Analytics, and a strong understanding of real money gaming. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial.

It also owns Bally’s Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, interactive gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.

With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Upon completing the construction of a permanent casino facility in Chicago, Bally's will own and/or manage 15 casinos across 10 states. Bally’s also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana. 

Well, what about the team?

The Product Design team at Bally's is responsible for the user experience and user interface of a product. This includes conducting user research to understand the needs and behaviours of the target audience, creating wireframes and prototypes to test and iterate on the design, and working with developers to ensure the final product is intuitive and easy to use. The goal of the team is to create products that provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for the user.

The Lead UX Researcher will be responsible for providing continuous user and data-led research and evidence-based design recommendations to ensure the design and experiences delivered in our products delights our players. You should be the voice of our users and champion their voice in the work we produce.

Working closely with the Director of Product Design, you will continuously review and improve our UXR processes and toolkits, enabling and supporting our Product Designers in conducting their own research and producing UXR artifacts to the high standards that you will set.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Provide meaningful insight and evidence-based recommendations for current and future design work
  • Deliver high quality design work and prototypes to test with users and illustrate recommendations
  • Ensure the research we conduct supports the Business Strategy, Product Vision and the Product Strategy
  • Ensure our UXR artifacts and design files are consistently maintained, transparent and consumable
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of UX/UI on process improvement and recommendations
  • Encourage process feedback with an open mind and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Adopt a culture that ensures Bally’s customers are the start and end point with everything we do
  • Instill culture and processes that give us constant customer research and feedback data
  • knowledge and be a voice for UX and UI
  • Deliver high quality presentations of your work to stakeholders at all levels of the business

And what are we looking for?

  • Ability to document user's attitudes, behaviors, and experiences in meaningful ways
  • Proven experience in conducting user-based research with a background in UX and UI design
  • Experience with user testing and insight platforms such as UserTesting.com, with a strong knowledge of Google Analytics and product hard data
  • Ability to interpret complex and voluminous data and findings into simple and actionable outputs
  • Expert knowledge of real money gaming products and business mechanics
  • Strong organizational and people skills, being able to adapt to situations and people, with excellent communication skills that engage and inspire
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI trends and best practices in the industry and related industries
  • Strong understanding of the technology capabilities of the platforms on which our customers use our products
  • Strong presentation skills – knowing your audience and how to present in different scenarios
  • Have a deep care for quality in your designs and the experiences you provide to our players
