Role - Your role will require you to take on complex user problems and transform them into intuitive and easy-to- use designs. You will champion business requirements, conduct user research, and translate this research into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes. While doing so you have the responsibility to raise the cohesiveness and overall UX throughout our product in collaboration with your design colleagues.
What you will do in this role
● Own the visual communication strategy (e.g. Illustrations, Graphics, Typography, Colour, etc.) for a product vertical.
● Serve as a liaison across teams, collaborating and communicating among your team and others.
● Provide innovative ideas by identifying design problems in existing solutions.
● Develop out-of-the-box ideas with both a creative and analytical mind-set.
● Strive to be data-informed and capable of extracting a point of view from data.
● Be the custodian for the Member, the User, and the Match, at various stages of the customer journey
● Go deep to solve problems and balance your “action-bias” with “end-states”.
● Design for Personas, strategic segments, and psychographics.
● You will work in a cross-functional agile environment alongside UX team-members, system architects, engineers, and promote user-centricity through research, co-creation, prototyping, testing and iteration.
● Define design direction in close collaboration with Designers, Researchers and Writers to define the approach, tone, personality, ease of use, end-to-end flows.
What you should have
● A minimum of 1-3 years of product design experience in consumer internet products
● Masters/Bachelor’s (IITs, BITS, NID).
● Experience working on mobile apps at scale.
● Must be good at evangelising design to stakeholders within their pod.
● Proven experience in designing mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications.
● Fluency with design tools such Adobe Suite esp. After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop, Figma, etc.
● Basic understanding of tech, with respect to leveraging nativity, understanding the limitations of an architecture, ability to gauge feasibility vs impact, etc.
● Strong user focus and record for advocating for the user backed by research
