GoFundMe seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team developing and scaling its integrations platform. Responsibilities include overseeing Salesforce (Nonprofit Cloud, NPSP), Meta, Microsoft Dynamics, and legacy integrations, as well as implementing an iPaaS solution. The role requires technical leadership in design, development, and maintenance, team management and mentorship, project ownership and stakeholder collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in integration processes and technologies. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in enterprise integration development (Salesforce, Microsoft, or iPaaS) and proven experience in managing complex integration projects. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in the San Francisco office.

Join us! GoFundMe is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of talented engineers responsible for developing and scaling our integrations platform, including integrations for: Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC), Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Microsoft Dynamics and several legacy integrations. This role will also oversee the implementation of our Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solution. This leadership role will play a critical part in driving seamless connectivity between our internal systems and external platforms, enabling the organization to deliver exceptional user experiences and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a strong technical background in enterprise integration development (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft) or iPaaS (e.g. Mulesoft) development and a proven ability to manage complex integration projects.

Candidates considered for this position will be located or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role with expectations to go into the SF office 3x per week

The Job…

  • Technical Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of native Salesforce integrations (Nonprofit Cloud + NPSP) and our iPaaS implementation.
  • Drive best practices for scalable, secure, and efficient integration architecture.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for Salesforce and overall enterprise integration development, ensuring robust solutions align with GoFundMe’s objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support career development for team members.
  • Project Ownership: Comfortable with jumping on calls with customers to triage/solution problems or configuration challenges
  • Partner with stakeholders across departments (Product, Product Marketing, Sales) to understand requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to manage the roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of integration and iPaaS initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of complex integration projects.
  • Strategy and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement in integration processes and technologies.
  • Research and recommend tools, frameworks, and methodologies that enhance integration capabilities.
  • Stay updated with pertinent CRM ecosystem (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft) advancements and iPaaS trends to position GoFundMe as a leader in innovative solutions.

You… 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering management, with a track record of building and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, APIs, and efficient integration design patterns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred… (OPTIONAL)

  • Experience with large-scale system integrations and data synchronization.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and DevOps processes.
  • Salesforce certifications or related (e.g., Platform Developer II, Integration Architect).
  • Proven experience implementing iPaaS solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, or similar platforms).

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $210,000 - $280,000 + equity + benefits.  The salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
