The Material Handler role involves receiving, warehousing, delivering, shipping, and maintaining inventory to support the Lincoln plant. Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment like forklifts, ensuring material handling to meet customer expectations, loading/unloading trailers, verifying freight, delivering materials, maintaining inventory accuracy via physical counts and system transactions, and maintaining material location accuracy with RF scanners. Additional responsibilities are checking, operating, troubleshooting, and reporting issues related to material handling equipment. The role also includes maintaining training on SOPs, Policies, GMPs, OSHA guidelines, and Safety Security & Environment guidelines.
Must have:
  • High School degree or GED
  • 2 years of forklift experience
Good to have:
  • Stand up forklift experience
  • Experience in M-ERP or SAP
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry

About the role

The Material Handler performs a wide variety of tasks focused on receiving, warehousing, delivering, shipping, and maintaining accurate inventories as required to support the Lincoln plant.
 

Role Responsibilities

  • Operates material handling equipment including standup forklifts, pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, vacuhoist, carton clamp, and slip-sheet attachment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ensures material receipt, warehousing, and delivery to point of use to meet internal/external customer expectations including shipments of finished goods to the off-site Distribution Center.

  • Loads and unloads trailers that are going between our off-site Distribution Center and main site.

  • Check/verify, sign for inbound freight from suppliers, complete cleaning & labelling of materials. Assist in completion of receipts and shipments as needed.

  • Deliver all materials and product to work centers in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintains material inventory quantity accuracy via physical counts & inventory management system transactions to maintain accurate inventory.

  • Maintains material location accuracy via RF scanner.

  • Check out, operate, troubleshoot, clean, and report issues pertaining to material handling equipment.

  • Maintain training on SOPs, Policies, GMPs, OSHA guidelines, and Safety Security & Environment guidelines.

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness. This includes participating in the ZAP program. Our behavior-based safety program to help identify potential risks in the workplace.

EHS Responsibilities – All Associates

  • Know, understand, and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines

  • Report unsafe conditions

  • Report all injuries, illnesses, and hazardous materials releases

  • Wear personal protective equipment

  • Attend EHS training programs

  • Follow all safe work procedures

Quality Responsibilities – All Associates

  • Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.)

  • Adhere to QMS policy and regulatory requirements

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School degree or GED.

  • 2 years of forklift experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Stand up forklift experience for loading/unloading trailers as well as storage racking and bulk areas.

  • Experience in M-ERP or SAP inventory management systems.

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.
