Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Tasking Experience team at Scale AI, you will focus on building web-based applications that allow large-scale data collections for cutting-edge models. Your responsibilities will include owning large areas within the product, building features end-to-end, delivering high-quality experiments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production. This role is within the Generative AI Data Engine, which powers advanced LLMs and generative models through RLHF, human data generation, model evaluation, and alignment. This team is dedicated to producing high-quality data that is crucial for how humanity will interact with AI. This position requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About our Tasking Experience team

Generating high-quality data is the core problem our business solves. Our Tasking Experience team focuses on building web-based applications that allow our contributors to annotate high quality data for language model training & evaluation. As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you’ll focus on building web based interfaces that allow large scale data collections for cutting edge models. You will invest in task design for collecting agentic data, contributor feedback techniques, automated data validation using LLMs, & different front end architectures (primarily react based).

Responsibilities:

Own large areas within our product
Build features end-to-end: front-end, back-end, system design, debugging and testing
Deliver experiments at a high velocity and level of quality to engage our customers
Work across the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production
Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team
Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features and experiences.

Requirements:
