The Modern Work Sales Specialist at Microsoft guides customers through transformative changes integrating generative AI (Copilot, Copilot+ PCs, Windows in the Cloud). This role involves consultative dialogues with customers, collaborating on planning and execution of initiatives like Frontline Worker, Employee Experience, Teams Rooms, and Next Generation Windows Experiences. Responsibilities include identifying and winning strategic opportunities, delivering Modern Work thought leadership, driving customer outcomes, cross-selling/up-selling solutions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners. The specialist will serve as a solution sales leader, contributing to the development of solutions, building stakeholder networks, and fostering relationships with customer business decision-makers. Technical expertise in Modern Work solutions (Copilot, Remote Work, Security, Teamwork, Insights, Phone System, Microsoft Viva, Surface devices) is crucial. Sales execution, business value selling, scaling, and collaboration are key aspects of the role.

We are looking for professionals to help guide customers through transformative changes as we integrate generative AI through Copilot, Copilot+ PCs, and Windows in the Cloud. By integrating AI, physical Windows devices and Cloud PCs provide greater flexibility and efficiency, facilitating a seamless transition between on-premise and remote work environments. Our aim is to help organizations streamline workflows, foster innovation, and enhance security while delivering a consistent Windows experience across various devices.

 

We are seeking experienced and credible Modern Work Sales Specialists to join our teams across multiple business groups, serving enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations. In the Modern Work (MW) Specialists team, we value individuals who can identify and win strategic opportunities by delivering Modern Work thought leadership and driving meaningful customer outcomes. As a Modern Work Sales Specialist, you will engage in consultative dialogues with customers, collaborating on planning, orchestration, and execution of initiatives such as Frontline Worker, Employee Experience, Teams Rooms and Phone, Next Generation Windows Experiences, and Copilot opportunities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell solutions, driving customer value and transformation.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND technology-related sales or account management experience OR technology-related sales or account management experience.

Experience selling modern work solutions or similar

Demonstrable new business sales experience and skills 

 

 

Responsibilities

As a Modern Work Sales Specialist, you will serve as a solution sales leader within our enterprise sales organization, working with key customers to drive successful outcomes. You will collaborate with a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed solution sales and usage/consumption targets for related workloads in your assigned accounts. You will help customers evaluate their applications, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.

  • Sales Execution: You will collaborate with virtual team members to identify customer business needs and contribute to the development of solutions that proactively build a stakeholder network to accelerate and close Modern Work opportunities.
  • Business Value Selling: You will foster and expand Microsoft’s relationship with Customer Business Decision Makers. Hunt new Modern Work opportunities by identifying and engaging with key business contacts, understanding customers’ business and technology priorities, governance, decision and budget processes, and landing the value proposition of Modern Work solutions.
  • Scaling and Collaboration: You will collaborate with a network of internal partners on the planning, orchestration and execution of Modern Work opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Technical Expertise: You will initiate Modern Work Business and Information Technology Decision Makers conversations, share best practices and key competitor knowledge across solution areas acting as a subject matter expert to make recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal.
  • Sales Excellence: You will collaborate with partners and resources to plan for accounts, do compete plans and business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and manage Modern Work solutions across the territory.

The Modern Work Specialist role is divided into three categories:

  • Modern Work: Copilot, Remote Work, Security & Compliance, Teamwork, Insights, and Phone System to architect a solution by leveraging the Modern Work of Microsoft 365.
  • Employee Experience: Microsoft Viva, an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights in the flow of work.
  • Surface and Accessibility: Surface device and accessories portfolio supported by Cloud PC.
