Responsibilities
- Design and develop optomechanical systems and components for specific applications
- Perform feasibility studies and analysis to ensure design fit and functionality
- Conduct optical and mechanical simulations and modeling
- Create and review detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including optical engineers, electrical engineers, and industrial designers
- Conduct testing and validation of optomechanical systems and components
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the design and development process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optomechanical engineering
- Ensure compliance with design standards and quality requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optics or related field
- 6+ years of experience in optomechanical engineering
- Strong knowledge of optical systems and components
- Experience with CAD software for design and modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
- Proficiency in optical simulation software (Zemax, FRED, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
