The US Planning & Forecast Analyst will partner with in-market Finance Teams to develop market forecasts and manage Plan and Update exercises. Key responsibilities include analyzing historical performance and external factors, preparing monthly reports, variance analysis, and risk assessments. They will also drive business performance initiatives, manage management reporting, and support the standardized financial forecast process. Additional tasks include preparing reports and ad-hoc requests, and ensuring the accuracy of market forecasts and plans. The role requires a strong understanding of financial management and the ability to understand the complexities of the markets.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of corporate financial management.
  • Advanced spoken and written English skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Ability to understand market complexities.
Good to have:
  • Experience with SAP and Power BI.
  • Experience in a shared service center environment.

The US Planning & Forecast Analyst, is a partner for the in-market Finance Teams in the development of market forecasts, Plan and Update exercises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of actual/ historical performance, external environment and able bring into planning and forecasting considerations.
  • Prepare monthly reports, variance analysis, Risks and Opportunities for management to review and drive business performance/gap closing initiatives and be the single point of contact for management reporting for that market.
  • Understand assumptions and drive SG&A planning.
  • Compare and comment on forecasts against budgets and prior month forecasts.
  • Preparation of management reports for Core Commercial Cycle/S&OP processes such as the DRM (Demand Review Meeting) decks and performance reviews such as the MPR (Monthly Performance Reviews) decks to support decision making and for use by management.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting requests from in-market finance teams or the Finance Director e.g. trend analysis for a product type.
  • Help deliver a standardized financial forecast process across the Consensus Forecasting platforms within the Core Commercial Cycle framework.
  • Responsible for the support of robustness and accuracy of the market forecasts and plans.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineer, or similar careers.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, financial controlling and analysis preferably gathered in a corporate environment in a multinational company and/or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of corporate financial management with concentration in financial planning and analysis
  • Advanced spoken and written English
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Previous experience working with SAP and Power BI is a PLUS
  • Experience of shared service center environment
  • Understand what the key drivers in changes to the plan & forecast are
  • Ability to understand the complexity in which the markets operate.
