ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist who plays a crucial role in efficiently managing the supply chain purchase orders, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services necessary for the organization's optimal functioning. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that procurement needs are effectively met, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency in all procurement operations. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive purchase orders, ensuring proper specification of required products or services, necessary quantities, and established delivery deadlines.
    • Constantly track delivery dates committed by suppliers, identifying, and proactively managing any deviations or delays in delivery.
    • Supervise and manage backlog lines to ensure no interruptions in supply, implementing corrective measures and mitigation strategies, as necessary.
    • Develop comprehensive solutions for the efficient use and management of consumables and high-rotation items, optimizing inventories and reducing associated costs.
    • Serve as the primary service contact for individuals in the plant, acting as the face of the supply chain service and providing support and assistance in all procurement and sourcing-related matters.
    • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as integration, warehouse, sourcing, material planning and logistics, to ensure effective integration of procurement activities with operational processes.
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with suppliers, and building strong relationships based on trust and collaboration.
    • Conduct periodic analysis of supplier and market performance, identifying improvement and optimization opportunities in the procurement process.
    • Stay updated on trends and best practices in the field of supply chain management, continually seeking ways to improve and optimize procurement operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
    • Previous experience in similar procurement roles (1-2 years of experience)
    • Solid knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management,  and inventory management.
    • Advanced interpersonal communication skills, ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in teams.
    • Results-oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic and demanding environment.
    • Proficiency in computer tools and supply chain management systems.
    • Fluency in English
