Role summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the creation and iteration of voice-AI-driven casual games. You will develop product strategies, roadmaps, and specifications, working closely with design, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver top-tier gaming experiences on platforms like Fire TV and Alexa. Your role involves planning and driving features across multiple titles, focusing on growth while balancing development investments. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of voice technology, creating experiences for over 100 million smart speaker users.

This job opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement, and we are specifically seeking candidates who are comfortable with on-site attendance in our Bay Area office 3 times per week (M, W, F) and are either currently residing in or near the Bay Area or willing to relocate for on-site work.

What you'll do at Volley

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including remote members, to develop and launch core features that enhance gameplay and meet business goals.
  • Lead the team in execution, manage risks, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality experiences.
  • Conduct user and competitive research, leveraging data to build impactful features.
  • Define success metrics for your products and iterate to improve game performance.
  • Assist leadership in refining product vision and strategy, contributing to a robust product roadmap.

Stuff you may have done before

  • Successfully led growth initiatives and iterated on products to achieve product-market fit.
  • Excelled in creating or working on casual games such as trivia, puzzle, virtual pets, farming, or narrative games.
  • Worked with AI to develop compelling user experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing thoughtful interactions for complex applications, with a strong intuition for what makes a great product and high attention to detail.

Must-haves

  • 4-6 years of Product Management experience driving impact in consumer tech or game development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey product vision through effective "storytelling."
  • A data-driven mindset, capable of making informed decisions and setting priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a talent for identifying unintuitive solutions to tough challenges.
  • Ability to set clear goals and product strategy, with the drive to overcome challenges and execute with limited information and ambiguity.

  • Gain deep familiarity with our products—how they work, perform, and why they are the way they are.
  • Build relationships with the team, understanding existing processes, strategies, projects, and approaches.
  • Determine and prioritize short-term opportunities.
  • Begin leading product strategy and prioritization meetings with the team.
  • Ship your first features.
  • Establish the necessary processes, tracking, and tools for your team to work effectively.
  • Identify the next key opportunity for the team.

For Pay Transparency: The salary range that we expect to pay for this position is $144,000-$180,000 annually. This is a portion of the pay band for the role and level we are seeking. The final offer amount will depend on experience, education and skills. Base pay is only one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work
