Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and direct the assigned area, ensuring the safe and efficient performance of employees and operations. You will maintain employee discipline, set work schedules, enforce policies, and provide coaching. Your responsibilities include meeting goals for safety, production, quality, and cost efficiency, working with other leaders to maintain production flow, approving employee times and vacation, addressing quality issues, maintaining a team environment, promoting lean activities, and managing schedules and daily scans. You will also be expected to assume additional duties to meet changing demands. This role involves daily face-to-face interaction with employees in an operations environment.

Who will you be working with?

Our Wabtec Young Touchstone team combines knowledge of our customers’ product platforms/processes with industry expertise to deliver unparalleled product solutions. Here you’ll interact daily with all support team functions to solve problems and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions group, you will be responsible for Providing overall leadership and direction to the assigned area by ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the facilities, employees, and operations. You will maintain the discipline of employees, set work schedules, maintain policies, provide coaching to team leads and operators, and uphold Wabtec Values. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Site Lead of the Young Touchstone Lexington, TN facility

What will your typical day look like?

  • Meet goals for Safety, Production volumes, Quality, and cost efficiencies.
  • Work with other area site leaders to keep production flow.
  • Approve employee times and vacation.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Make sure all quality issues are addressed, and corrective actions are created.
  • Maintain a team environment, focuses on completing department goals.
  • Promote, and participate in all lean activities, 6S, Kaizens, Lessons Learned, etc...
  • Maintain Schedule, and daily scans.
  • Maintain Daily Gemba, and production matrix.
  • Able to assume more duties as required to meet a changing environment.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$60,700.00-$83,400.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
