Bazaarvoice seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate systems and infrastructure for their applications. Must have 4+ years of experience in DevOps, 2+ years on AWS, experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform), and Kubernetes.

Bazaarvoice is looking for a seasoned DevOps engineer to join us in building the future of our Developer Experience Team.
We strongly believe in empowering our engineers to efficiently design, develop, test, and operate the software they create. To that end, our Developer Experience team is responsible for building and maintaining the tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that makes this possible. Providing a Frictionless, Seamless and Compelling Platform experience to enhance the developer experience.
We work closely across engineering teams to understand developers' requirements and uncover opportunities to improve velocity, provide moments of engineering joy, and ultimately act as a force multiplier for our teams.
We’re looking for a talented individual to join our team and take the Developer Experience culture to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and ship the systems and infrastructure that power our applications.
Provide reliable, robust, and fast CI/CD pipelines.
Propose new technologies or approaches that can improve our infrastructure.
Create tooling to improve the developer experience.
Develop and test disaster recovery scenarios.
Continuously monitor and improve our infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security.
Build automation systems following code pattern best practices.
Working closely with developers to improve developer workflows.
Build and improve automation for building new environments.
Implement security best practices, from OS-level patches to internal processes.
Participate in the on-call engineering rotation.
Essential Criteria:
4+ years experience in a software engineering or DevOps role.
2+ years of experience supporting high-availability systems on AWS.
Experience building or supporting services in a service-oriented architecture.
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, helm, etc).
Experience creating and managing a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Github Actions).
Hands-on experience at least in one scripting language Java, Python or Golang.
Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
Fluent in understanding and applying common security principles.
Experience with test automation.
Expert-level proficiency with version control (Git)
Desired Criteria
Experience with load and/or performance testing.
Experience managing databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra, MongoDB)
Experience with ElasticSearch.
Experience in data streaming and messaging middlewares (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.).
Experience in agile methodologies
