Senior Manager, CEE BU Procurement

About the Role

This role sits within Procurement Business Unit CEE, reporting to Head of Procurement CEE Business Unit.

This role is responsible for a diverse and challenging set of activities, all of which are related to Business partnering to senior stakeholders across CEE Business Unit and EMEA region Category Management (including but not limited to category strategy creation and execution), Sourcing, Contracting. In this role you will be responsible to support strategy development, management and execution of variable indirect Procurement Categories in CEE Business Unit and beyond impacting business effectiveness and delivering added value. You will be also expected to run spend management analysis and optimization, Procurement Risk management and mitigation as well as pipeline creation and execution.

Role Responsibilities

Strategy and execution

  • Develop and spearhead BU/local category strategy followed by sourcing activities aligned to local business requirements and market nuances, while collaborating with global category leads to implement global best practices in the region.

  • Implement and drive global/regional sourcing strategies for spend categories within the scope of responsibility, including but not limited to value engineering, tendering activities, contracting, and supplier management.

  • Act as the local authority and expert in the spend categories within the scope of responsibility.

  • Ensure regional and global strategies reflect Haleon’s sustainability and diversity objectives

Benefit delivery

  • Lead and champion benefits delivery to the BU identified in both local and global strategies through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost, and innovation

  • Ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology approach, ensuring business unit and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process

Business partnering & stakeholder management at Haleon

  • Build strong relationship with a network of senior Haleon local/regional/global stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition.

  • Influence key stakeholders and business partners to support strategy development endorse recommended strategies, support execution and agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted

External supplier relationships

  • Strategically build and nurture high-level relationships with key regional/local suppliers, leading processes to ensure maximum value is derived from these partnerships.

  • Lead contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance with regional/ local suppliers that will allow Haleon to maximize opportunity  

Why you?

We are looking for a professional with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 5+ years of operational multi-country Procurement experience, preferably across multiple categories (warehousing, distribution, marketing production and marketing content, professional services, travels and meetings)

  • Excellent knowledge of Procurement tools such as Ariba sourcing, ERP, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development and others

  • Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, Procurement Category management, particularly category strategy implementation, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management

  • In-depth understanding of external environment and supplier relationship models

  • Expertise in cost benchmark, and legal matters (contracting)

  • Clear understanding of business value, business priorities, and potential implementation risks

  • Significant experience working in a matrix (global/ regional/cross-cultural) business environment

  • Strong networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners

  • Demonstrated ability influence and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills

  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills

  • Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines

  • Experience with risk management

  • Motivation for professional development
