Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager at Fortis Games, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and game design initiatives across the entire game studio. You will report to the Senior Director of Product and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure the commercial success of a new casual game. This role requires a blend of product management and game design expertise, along with the ability to reconcile business and design considerations to achieve game objectives. Your responsibilities will include refining Live Ops strategies, planning and executing events, working on monetization strategies, employing player-centric design methods, defining analytical scopes, presenting actionable insights, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring a positive player experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management within the mobile gaming industry, particularly in the casual games space. Proven experience with Top Grossing F2P mobile titles and a deep understanding of mobile game design and development are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and a pulse on industry trends are also critical. Must have:
  • Extensive experience in product management within the mobile gaming industry
  • Experience from conception to live operations on free-to-play mobile games (casual games preferred)
  • Proven experience working on a Top Grossing F2P mobile title
  • Passion for games and ability to evaluate and break down the components of what makes a successful live game
  • Deep understanding and insights into the nuances of Mobile game design and development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability or potential
  • A pulse on the current industry trends and market
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication aptitudes

About The Team

Our team consists of passionate game developers that have come together from around the globe to make the next generation of Free-to-Play casual games.  With veterans from studios like King, Gameloft, EA, Zynga, Rovio, and Scopely, we’re dedicated to design-driven innovation and delivering a great experience for our players.

About the role

This pivotal role will work across our entire game studio to drive strategic and game design initiatives. You will report to the Senior Director of Product and collaborate closely with design to ensure the commercial success of a new game in the casual space. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of product management and game design skills, with the ability to reconcile business and design considerations to achieve game objectives.

What you’ll achieve 

  • Live Ops
    • Refine the Live Ops strategy using data-driven approaches like A/B testing and player segmentation to enhance player engagement and game performance.
    • Plan and Execute Events that boost player engagement, retention, and monetization, ensuring a diverse and dynamic player experience.
    • Work with design and analytics teams to implement monetization strategies that balance profitability with a positive player experience.
  • Design
    • Employ player-centric design methods, emulating player psychology, emotions, and behaviors.
    • Systematize design goals and predict implications of design choices on player behavior and game systems.
    • Set clear priorities to maximize the impact on LTV or targeted metrics.
  • Analysis & Insight
    • Define analytical scopes to address strategic and design queries, presenting actionable insights from data.
    • Mobilize the team through data stories and hypothesis-driven thinking during feature development.
    • Independently generate analyses and guide analysts toward optimal outputs.
  • Collaboration
    • Empower team members, foster a supportive environment, and facilitate efficient decision-making.

What you’ll need to be successful
