Job Description

The SEO Analyst role at Absolute Sports is a contract position requiring 2+ years of experience. Responsibilities include assisting the SEO team with on-page and off-page strategies, conducting outreach campaigns, performing data analysis using Excel/Google Sheets, and competitive research across various sports verticals (MLB, MMA/Boxing, Olympics). The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and negotiation skills, a basic understanding of website functionality and HTML, and a proven ability to handle data analysis and cleaning.

Must have:

On-page/off-page SEO strategies
Data analysis (Excel/Sheets)
Outreach campaign execution
Competitive research
Excellent communication

Good to have:

Knowledge of MLB, MMA/Boxing, Olympics
HTML knowledge

The Opportunity

Location: Remote
Experience: 2+ Years

Role: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the SEO team in executing on-page and off-page strategies like acquiring brand mentions, reaching out to publishers, and optimizing on-page stuff.
Conducting outreach for off-page SEO campaigns that drive awareness, increase authority and indicate relevance to the search engines.
Curiosity, problem-solving, and the willingness to learn new tasks as they arise.
Well-versed with either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to apply pivot tables, filters, and vlookup.
Assist the SEO team with daily, and weekly analysis for various sports in the following ways: sourcing data, cleaning data, and top-level data analysis. Tools: MS Excel, G-Sheets
Takes ownership and is responsible for the tasks, or duties provided.
Competitive Research for multiple sports sections.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of how websites work, and HTML.
Knowledge of MLB,MMA/Boxing, olympics
Negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills with a stronghold in written and spoken English
Proficient in Microsoft Office
