As a Software Engineer Intern at EA Mobile, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain code for game components and features. You will write clean, efficient code in languages like C++, C#, or others as required. You will also be involved in debugging, optimization, defect fixing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality game features. You will contribute to detailed design documentation and ensure the best gaming experience for players.
Must have:
  • BE/BTech/MCA
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong programming skills in C++, C#, Java, PHP
  • Familiarity with software development tools and practices
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Role Overview

As EA's first label dedicated to purely digital games, EA Mobile creates games for mobile devices, social networks and online environments that deliver seamless play anytime, anywhere, on any device. Connecting a market of more than one billion core and mass-casual gamers worldwide, EA All Play delivers engaging, accessible, high-quality games to people of all skill levels and interests.

EA Hyderabad has been leading innovation by fostering live-services strategies and working on EA Mobile games that are cherished and downloaded by millions across the globe including games like Need For Speed No Limits, Real Racing 3, Plants vs Zombies etc. The studio has also pioneered co-development initiatives with other studios with a commitment to high-quality game updates.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with experienced software engineers to design, develop, and maintain code for various game components and features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C++, C#, or other programming languages as required.
  • Debug and optimize code for performance and memory usage.
  • Identify and fix software defects and issues, ensuring the highest quality gaming experience for our players.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and producers, to deliver high-quality game features on time and within scope.
  • Maintain detailed design documentation throughout the project cycle.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech/MCA
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving acumen
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, Java, PHP.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and practices, including version control systems and coding standards.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Most important of all, you need to love games!
